From a private banker to a musician, Jenny Jenny lives with passion. JStarting from 2008, Jenny will be releasing her new songs in Hutchison, a leading telecommunication company in Hong Kong. Anyone can pay and download her music and MV directly to their cell phones.
After releasing a couple of instrumental albums, Jenny has finally taken up the challenge of singing and writing lyrics in addition to nice catchy tunes. Upon successful release in Hutchison, Jenny plans to publish her first vocal album, tentative title – Dreams Come True, together with a promotion tour for an international advertiser, in the hottest venues of the Lan Kwai Fong Group in Hong Kong.
Few artists can co-exist as a serious professional in the business world, and a musician/writer in the media industry, as seamlessly as Jenny. Her prolific production in both is impeccable and her ability to explore, express and connect has landed herself to unexpected level of achievements.
After a long and eventful journey, Jenny’s music has got into the soundtrack of a Hong Kong/ China movie called “Tangshan Tangshan” which was released in the Hong Kong Arts center in July 2007, followed by overseas release soon. Not only was Jenny doing part of the soundtrack, she had actually written and sung the episode “Heaven Sent” as well. Whereas, the theme song “Dan Yuen Ren Chang Jiu”, a Mandopop song written over an old Chinese poem, was sung by Jacky Cheung, one of the most renowned singer in Hong Kong ever.
When the movie script of “Love Is Blind” finds its producer, we shall see Jenny’s own original movie in the big silver screen together with the music that she had already scored and published.
“Love Is Blind” was produced and published in 2004 based on the movie script mentioned above, as its soundtrack. An electronic instrumental album, Jenny has written, recorded and performed all 16 tracks by herself. Stepping up from her easy listening new age album “In The Mood Of … Dreams” in 2002, Jenny has progressed significantly on her orchestration, instrumentation, ambience, sound and the overall performance. The success of “Love Is Blind” has naturally dawned on her the idea of writing a book based on this album and launching the book with this album together.
In 2006, her first book was published, with the same title as her album. “Love Is Blind” is a collection of 16 individual chapters, each written as a prose mostly about feelings, inspired by the unique music and illustration of each track in her album.
Adding books to music, Jenny has moved forward to the category of multi-media talent, after a long and exciting journey.
From producing the album “Color of Life” for a Hong Kong talent “Tommy Wong” in 2000, Jenny had gone a long way. “Color of Life” was an alternative cantopop album. Just like most sing and song-writer, Jenny started from writing and singing pop, which had interestingly taken her to the course of the more ingenious world of instrumental music.
“In The Mood of…” was the first and only library music album she was commissioned to do for Shee Yan College in 2001, after being a guest speaker for their film students about the relationship of audio and visual. The sensational responses had reinforced Jenny to pursue her dreams further by writing and producing her “virgin” album in 2002. Incidental and experimental, “In The Mood Of … Dreams” was a sweet, delightful, sentimental, and graceful piano album. It was her genuine sensations and her elegant melody that touched the hearts of many whom continued to support Jenny as she grows in her music career.
A year later, in 2003, Kent found Jenny and collaborated with her on their “Kent Chill Out Tour” in many of the posh and happening clubs in Hong Kong. In addition, Jenny had also participated in writing and producing the Kent Chill Out premium album.
A rare guest in the club scenes, Jenny performs in as many gigs as her schedule allows. Excelling in a banking profession by day is as challenging as breaking through and coming up with innovative ideas continuously in her music, let alone writing, editing, recording, producing and rehearsing.
Over a decade of dedication, the external accomplishment and recognition, is incomparable to the amazing people and experience music has brought to Jenny.
